How many kings, stepped down from their thrones?
How many lords have abandoned their homes?
How many greats have become the least for me?
How many Gods have poured out their hearts
To romance a world that has torn all apart?
How many fathers gave up their sons for me?
Only one did that for me

All for me
All for you

While I may not know you, I bet I know you
Wonder sometimes, does it matter at all?
Well let me remind you, it all matters just as long

As you do everything you do to the glory of the One who made you
'Cause He made you to do
Every little thing that you do to bring a smile to His face
Tell the story of grace with every move that you make
And every little thing you do

I sing because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me

I keep trying to find a life
On my own, apart from you
I am the king of excuses
I've got one for every selfish thing that I'll do

Oh, what's going on inside of me?
I despise my own behavior
This only serves to confirm my suspicions
I'm still a man in need of a Saviour

I wanna be in the light as you are in the light
I wanna shine like the stars in the heavens
Oh, Lord be my light and be my salvation
All I want is to be in the light
All I want is to be in the light

Crucified
Laid behind the stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone
Like a rose trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all

Romans 5:6-8
3/18/2021

I've been held by the Savior
I've felt fire from above
I've been down to the river
I ain't the same, a prodigal returned
All my hope is in Jesus
Thank God that yesterday's gone
All my sins are forgiven
I've been washed by the blood
I'm no stranger to the prison
I've worn shackles and chains
But I've been freed and forgiven (yes I have)
I'm not going back
I'll never be the same
That's why I sing...
All my hope is in Jesus
Thank God that yesterday's gone
All my sins are forgiven
I've been washed by the blood

priv·i·lege
noun
a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group.
As Christians, true believers who have been set apart, we have access to God through Jesus's death on the cross. Never forget that prayer is a conversation with the one true God.
1
What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!
2
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
3
Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer;
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer;
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.

Remember who God is.

Horatio G. Spafford pinned these words in 1873 and they haven't aged at all. They are an often much needed reminder to us of the extent Jesus's sacrifice on the cross. If you want to know more about Spafford's life when he wrote this song, feel free to look at this link:

We've been fans of C.S. Lewis as far back as we can remember. He was a wonderful writer and theologian. In light of today's verse, we felt this quote from "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" was a perfect fit.
3/23/2021

I know You are always with me,
forever!
Even till the end of the age.
I know You are always with me,
forever!
Even till the end of the age.
End of the age.

I am not a-
We are not A-lone.

The weight of the world is crashing down on me.
Weight of the world is on my back.
The weight of the world is crashing down on me.
Weight of the world is on my back.

Through every struggle, I am not alone.
Through every trial, I am not alone.
Through every hardship, I am not alone.
You are my strength, I am not alone.

We know, He's coming back (we know, we know)
We know, He's coming back (we know, we know)
We know, He's coming back (we know, we know)
We know, He's coming back

Have you ever thought that the world has kinda lost its way?
Crazy as it seems, yeah, I know it's gonna be okay, oh, yeah
It doesn't scare me, it's temporary
There's something better, we got forever
And it won't be long, 'cause we know our help is on the way, the way

So, keep your head up
Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back
No don't you give up, hey
Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back
And when the world gets complicated
We gonna keep on celebrating, 'cause we know (yeah, we know)
Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back

Gotta stay awake 'cause nobody knows the day or time, no
The trumpet's gonna blow, and the skies are gonna open wide, uh, yeah
He's coming for us, just like He told us
It's been a long wait, but there's a new day
And we're gonna sing hallelujah when the King arrives
Oh, you know you gotta keep your head up
Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back
No, don't you give up, no, no
'Cause Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back
And when the world gets complicated
We gonna keep on celebrating, 'cause we know
Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back
Are you ready?
Are you ready?
People get ready
People get ready
Are you ready?
Are you ready?
People get ready
People get ready
Are you ready?
Are you ready?
People get ready
Yeah, let's get ready
Oh, is coming back
Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back
No don't you give up
Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back
And when the world gets complicated
We gonna keep on celebrating, 'cause we know (yeah, we know)
Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back
Are you ready now?
Are you ready now, yeah
(People get ready)
We just wanna celebrate, hey, hey
Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back
So keep your head up
Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back

John 10:18
2/4/2021

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Ephesians 6:12
1/22/2021

Don't keep carrying those burdens around.

"A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn' Fall on your knees, oh, hear the Angels' voices Oh, night divine, oh, night when Christ was born Oh, night divine, oh, night, oh night divine"
- John Sullivan Dwight

When we hear or read these words, a certain mixture of chills and warmth comes over us. Although the original words were written in 1843 by Placide Cappeau and rewritten by John Sullivan Dwight in 1855, the words "weary world" are very relevant and applicable to today? The beauty is that, whatever we have gone through this year, we can rejoice because that new day has dawned and our hope doesn't lie in the things or people of this world, rather, in our living Savior and Redeemer.
